A few lines later, the statement said Maldonado-Passage’s legal team was filing the appeal, while its media team was backing the public’s support.
CNN has reached out to Maldonado-Passage’s attorney for comment and is waiting to hear back.
The court’s order awarded GW’s Baskin control. The zoo gave him 116 acres of land in Garvin County, Oklahoma, as well as several cabins and vehicles, court records show.
Jeff Locke, the player who supports the current owner of the zoo “Tiger King” must vacate the place within 120 days of the order and also remove all the animals.
Lowe’s lawyer told CNN that the verdict was not unexpected, and Lowe is currently focused on opening a new “Tiger King” park within the next 120 days.
